Resumen de Juan Dolcet Santos. Rompiendo fronteras, más allá del retrato convencional

El presente artículo trata sobre el traspaso de las fronteras del retrato convencional tomando como ejemplo los retratos fotográficos de Juan Dolcet Santos, autor madrileño que trabajó entre los años de 1951 y 1990. El estudio de la producción fotográfica de Dolcet permite ver cómo el retrato entendido como la plasmación fotográfica de un rostro o la simple identificación física de un sujeto, se trasmuta en una herramienta a través de la cual el fotógrafo / creador hace público lo que hay dentro del mundo privado de los sujetos fotografiados. Todo ello nos habla de la capacidad técnica, plástica y de la sensibilidad visual del autor para reflejar y sintetizar en una sola imagen el carácter del sujeto.

Erretratu konbentzionalaren mugak gainditu izana da artikulu honen gaia, eta 1951 eta 1990 artean lan egin zuen egile madrildar baten erretratu fotografikoak hartu dira adibidetzat, Juan Dolcet Santos argazkilariarenak. Dolceten argazkigintzaren azterketak aukera ematen du ikusteko nolatan aldatzen den erretratua aurpegi baten argazki bidezko irudikapena edo pertsona baten identifikazio fisiko hutsa izatetik argazkilariak/sortzaileak argazkia atera zaien pertsonen mundu pribatuaren barruan dagoena jendaurrean jartzeko erabiltzen duen tresna izatera. Horrek guztiak adierazten digu zer-nolako gaitasun teknikoa eta plastikoa eta zer-nolako sentiberatasun bisuala duen egileak irudi bakar batean islatu eta laburtzeko pertsonaren izaera.

The research deals with the transfer of the borders of the conventional portrait taking as an example the photographic portraits of Juan Dolcet Santos, author from Madrid who worked between 1951 and 1990. The study of Dolcet’s photographic production allows us to see how the portrait is understood like the photographic representation of a face or the simple physical identification of a subject, it transmutes into a tool through which the photographer / creator makes public what is inside the private world of the subjects photographed, all this speaks to us of the technical capacity, plastic and the author’s visual sensitivity to reflect and synthesize in a single image the character of the subject.
