    Los recientes logros de la IA han alimentado un discurso, a menudo angustiante, de una obsolescencia del trabajo humano. Si bien diversos actores tienen interés en difundir este mensaje, nuestro análisis como informáticos y economistas, necesariamente especulativo, subraya los límites tecnológicos y sociales de la inteligencia artificial. Así pues, invertimos el problema: ¿será suficiente la IA junto con los robots para que las sociedades occidentales cerradas a la inmigración puedan hacer frente a los retos del siglo XXI los cuales requerirán mucho trabajo?

    The recent successes in AI research have fuelled an often-alarming discourse about the possible obsolescence of human work. While various actors find an interest in disseminating such a message, as computer scientists and economists, our analysis is necessarily speculative and underlines the technological and social limits of artificial intelligence. This leads us to reverse the problematic: coupled to robots, would AI be enough to allow western societies closed to immigration to respond to the challenges of the 21st century which will require a lot of work?

    Les récents succès de l’ia ont nourri un discours, souvent anxiogène, d’une obsolescence du travail humain. Si des acteurs divers ont intérêt à diffuser ce message, notre analyse d’informaticien et d’économiste, nécessairement spéculative, souligne les limites technologiques et sociales de l’intelligence artificielle. Nous renversons ainsi la problématique : l’ia couplée aux robots sera-t-elle suffisante pour permettre aux sociétés occidentales fermées à l’immigration de répondre aux défis du xxie siècle qui exigeront beaucoup de travail ?
