  • With low energy costs resulting in a very competitive cost in production per ton of aluminium, Iran is also one of the largest markets in the Middle East region. With a developed transport and infrastructure network, the region is a very interesting aluminium market. However, economic sanctions have had a very negative impact on country's aluminium industry in recent years. Seema Gahlaut presents an overview of the Iranian aluminium industry.
