    Impulsado desde la esfera política, en Venezuela se ha abierto un debate sobre el alcance del socialismo en el siglo XXI y de sus eventuales distancias con relación al “socialismo real”, como concreción histórica del “socialismo científico”; ambos de raigambre marxista. Mientras tanto, se descuidan las referencias a las circunstancias históricas concretas, a pesar de que ello fue preocupación cierta de Lenin. Ese olvido despoja al debate de su vínculo con la agenda política deseable para Venezuela.

    Promoted from the political sphere, in Venezuela a debate has been opened on the reachings of Socialism in the XXI century and its possible distance with regard to “realsocialism” as the historial materialization of “scientific socialism;” both of them of Marxist extraction. In the meantime, the references to concrete historical circumstances are obviated, even though they were among the certain preoccupations of Lenin. This neglect deprives the debate of its link with a political agenda desirable for Venezuela.
