The present research aims to search the colonial governors in the space-time of the city of Rio de Janeiro, c. 1680 – c. 1763. Privilege the study of the interim governors who acted in the absence or removal of the titular governors. The purpose of the article is to analyze the relationship, circulation and recruitment of these governors. The purpose of the text is to demonstrate, as far as Rio de Janeiro, the position of interimity in the city of Rio de Janeiro in the passages of the 17th and 18th centuries. The investigation into the interim government scrutinized the agents in their trajectories, in the kingdom and in the colonies

A presente pesquisa tem por objetivo esquadrinhar os governadores coloniais no espaço-tempo da cidade do Rio de Janeiro, c. 1680 – c. 1763. Privilegia o estudo dos governadores interinos que atuaram na ausência ou afastamento dos governadores titulares. A proposta do artigo é analisar a relação, circulação e recrutamento destes governadores. O intuito do texto é demonstrar, no que tange ao Rio de Janeiro, o cargo de interinidade na cidade fluminense nas passagens dos séculos XVII – XVIII. Convém frisar que a investigação sobre o governo interino perscrutou os agentes nas suas trajetórias, no reino e nas colônias
