Análisis sobre el conocimiento del personal sanitario de neurología en la utilización de los tipos de contención en pacientes con agitación psicomotriz

    La agitación psicomotriz es un síndrome englobado en los trastornos de la conducta. Suele ser uno de los cuadros de presentación más frecuentes en los diversos ámbitos profesionales. La presencia de un paciente agitado, a veces confuso, y generalmente demandante u hostil, constituye un reto tanto a nivel institucional como profesional, ya que habitualmente desbordan sus habilidades de manejo. Los objetivos son: 1. Analizar los conocimientos del personal sanitario de la unidad sobre la atención del paciente con agitación psicomotriz en fase aguda. 2. Conocer los conocimientos que tiene el personal sobre los tipos de contención (verbal o psicológica, ambiental, química y mecánica). 3.Analizar la percepción de los profesionales respecto a la técnica de restricción física así como su preparación y formación en ella. Se ha realizado un estudio descriptivo, transversal y prospectivo al personal sanitario de la Unidad de Neurología del H. U. Miguel Servet durante el mes de Abril del 2018. Para ello, tras informar de los objetivos del estudio y solicitar su consentimiento verbal, se entregaron los cuestionarios de los que se recogieron 31. Cuando se pregunta en el orden en el que debe colocarse una contención mecánica el 90,3% contesta mal sabiendo que existe un protocolo de actuación un 41,9% y un 93,5% refiere que necesita formación sobre la materia.

    Psychomotor excitation is a syndrome encompassed in behavioral disorders. It is usually one of the most frequent presentation case in the various professional fields. The presence of an agitated patient, sometimes confused, and generally complaining or hostile, is a constitute challenge both institutionally and professionally, por since they usually overflow their management skills. The aims are: 1. Analyze the knowledge of the health personnel unit about the care of the patient whit acute phase psychomotor agitation. 2. Know the knowledge staff has about the types of containment (verbal or psychological, environmental chemistry and mechanics). 3. Analyze the profesionals perception according to the physical restriction technique as well as its preparation and training about it. A descriptive and cross-sectional a study was realized the Neurology Unit of the HU Miguel Servet health personnel during the month of April 2018. To carry out this study, after inform the aims of this study and request the verbal consent, the forms were delivered of whom 31 were gather up. When asked about the order in which a mechanical containment should be placed 90.3% wrongly answered, a 41, 9% poorly knew that a intervention protocol exists and 93,5% refer that they need knowledge about te subject.
