El estudio se centra, a partir de un corto relato del libelo de sangre de santo Dominguito de Val, en dar respuesta a las preguntas de cuándo y por qué se fabricó la “tra - dición” sobre dicho santo, y los momentos puntuales de su revitalización hasta finales del siglo xVII. Aunque del corto relato de la muerte de dicho infante se han ocupado los más diversos escritores de los siglos xVI y xVII, nosotros tomamos como referencia al maestro Espés y a los cronistas Blancas, Andrés de Uztarroz y Dormer.

This study focuses, from a short story of the blood libel of Saint Dominguito de Val, on answering the questions of when and why the “tradition” was made about this saint, and the specific moments of his Revitalization until the end of the 17th century. Although the short story of the death of this infant has been occupied by the most diverse writers of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, we take as reference the master Espés and the chroniclers Blancas, Andrés de Uztarroz and Dormer.
