  Este ensayo tiene la finalidad de demostrar el peso que tuvo la noción de derecho internacional en la construcción de la política exterior mexicana heredera de la Revolución. La estrategia es ilustrar de manera general la vida, la obra, las ideas y las acciones diplomáticas de Isidro Fabela, a quien se puede considerar como el artífice del modelo de política exterior del nacionalismo revolucionario mexicano, especialmente durante el gobierno del presidente Lázaro Cárdenas (1934-1940). Junto al perfil biográfico, se describe también el contexto internacional que permite comprender las razones y las justificaciones que le dieron vida a la política exterior mexicana de la época.

  This essay has the purpose of demonstrating the importance of the notion that International Law had in the construction of Mexican foreign policy, inheritor to the Revolution. The strategy is to illustrate in a general manner the life, the work, the ideas and the diplomatic actions of Isidro Fabela, who can be considered as the architect of the foreign policy model of Mexican revolutionary nationalism, especially during the government of President Lázaro Cárdenas (1934-1940). Along with the biographical profile, it also describes the international context that allows us to understand the reasons and justifications that gave life to the Mexican foreign policy of the period.
