El autor sostiene que la civilización occidental se encuentra en un ocaso productor de malestar. Comprende la civilización como un dinamismo auto-generador con dos caras en tensión: la cultural y la sociopolítica. La crisis occidental es caracterizada como el fenómeno por el cual la génesis se vuelve contra sí misma, dando lugar a fenómenos como la “administración del vacío”, la “ficcionalización del mundo”, la “negatividad reactiva” o la “infatuación identitaria”, entre otros. El autor parte de investigaciones ya comenzadas que comprenden el ser como “ser errático” y pretende profundizarlas y ampliarlas.

The author argues that Western civilization is in a decline producing malaise. It understands civilization as a self-generating dynamism with two faces in tension:
the cultural and the sociopolitical. The Western crisis is characterized as the phenomenon by which the genesis turns against itself, causing phenomena such as the “administration of vacuum”, “fictionalization of the world”, “reactive negativity” or “identity infatuation”, among others. The author starts from research already begun that understands being as “erratic” and pretends to deepen and expand them.
