El cuerpo en la mediación tecnológica: un breve recorrido entre la presencia y la au-sencia

    En este trabajo exponemos un análisis particular acerca del papel del cuerpo y de la subjetividad en la mediación tecno-lógica. A partir de la consideración de diferentes enfoques sobre la relevancia del cuerpo en el conocimiento y en la acción, procedemos a definir una noción unitaria de subjetividad que no participa de la dicotomía cartesiana entre men-te y cuerpo. La expresión de esta subjetividad se da en términos de representaciones y acciones. Analizaremos la in-fluencia de la mediación tecnológica sobre dicha noción subjetividad, y en el caso particular de las actuales tecnologías digitales trataremos de explicar la, así llamada, “descorporeización” de la mediación y su efecto sobre las posibilidades de la acción.

    In this paper we present a particular analysis about the role of the body and subjectivity in technological mediation. From the consideration of different approaches on the relevance of body on knowledge and action, we proceed to define a unitary notion of subjectivity which does not participate in Cartesian dichotomy between mind and body. The expression of this subjectivity is given in terms of representations and actions. We analyze the influence of technological mediation on this notion of subjectivity, and in the particular case of today's digital technologies we will try to explain the, so called, “disembodiment” of mediation and its effect on the possibilities of action.
