Resumen de Estatuto Biológico del embrión humano preimplantatorio

En los debates en torno a los embriones de pocos días, se ha pretendido consolidar la tesis de que son entidades celulares tan precarias, que carecen de humanidad suficiente. Basándonos en datos biológicos, intentamos demostrar que son seres humanos en sus momentos iniciales de desarrollo, dotados de identidad biológica, autoorganización, unidad, individualidad y continuidad en el tiempo.
Se intenta además refutar que el concepto de preembrión tenga fundamentación biológica; así como el argumento de que la gemelación homocigótica, llevaría a negar la existencia individual del embrión hasta que esa posibilidad haya desaparecido, en torno al día 14.

In the debates on early embryos (of few days of age), a reasoning has been claimed that those are such precarious cellular entities that they lack a minimum of humanity. Based on biological data, we intend to demonstrate their human condition even at the very first stages of development, fitted with biological identity, self-organization, unity, individuality and continuation over time. We will also try to reject the alleged biological grounds of the concept of preembryo, together with the argument that the possibility of monozygotic twinning would lead to deny the individual existence of the embryo up to the point when that risk has ceased (around day 14).
