    Among the many means of exerting influence on others (human or non-human), the Achuar Jivaro of the Upper Amazon have a repertoire of “magic” songs, know as anent, which are supposed to act upon the affective dispositions of the recipient of the invocation with respect to its enunciator. The peculiarity of these songs is that, in principle, they are neither issued aloud nor heard. The purpose of the article is to illuminate the singular conditions of enunciation and reception of this tacit oral/musical tradition, as well as to analyse the role it plays in the techniques of kinship-making among the Jivaro.

    Parmi les nombreux moyens d’exercer de l’influence sur autrui (humain ou non-humain), les Achuar-Jivaro de la Haute Amazonie disposent d’un répertoire de chants « magiques », nommés anent, censés agir sur les dispositions affectives du destinataire de l’invocation à l’égard de son énonciateur. La particularité de ces chants est qu’en principe, ils ne sont ni émis à haute voix ni entendus. L’article a pour objectif d’éclairer les singulières conditions d’énonciation et de réception de cette tradition orale/musicale tacite, ainsi que d’analyser le rôle qu’elle joue dans les techniques de fabrication de liens de parenté chez les Jivaro.
