Resumen de Survey of Solid-State Physics and Quantum Mechanics

In this chapter we review the basic concepts of solid-state physics and quantum mechanics, which are fundamental for the subsequent study of the overall properties of bulk and low-dimensional structures and devices. Accordingly, we will discuss how the atomic-scale properties of solids influence their macroscopic physicochemical behavior.
