    La presente investigación tiene como objetivo analizar los cálculos de balance de materiales del Estudio Integrado de Yacimientos realizado en el Campo Mara Este, el cual fue asignado a la empresa mixta OleoLUZ en 1998. La metodología utilizada para dicho análisis incluyó tanto hojas de cálculo como los programas comerciales MBAL y DECIDE!. El uso de estos programas permitió mejorar el ajuste de los resultados obtenidos del Estudio Integrado, por lo que se concluye que la aplicación de nuevas tecnologías seria de mucha utilidad para resolver los problemas presentados tanto en este estudio como en la empresa mixta OleoLUZ.

    The present study is aimed at analyzing the calculation of the Material Balance corresponding to the Integrated Reservoir Study carried out in the Mara Este Field, which was assigned to the joint enterprise OleoLUZ in 1998. The methodology used for said analysis included both calculation data sheets and the commercial programs MBAL y DECIDE!. The use of these programs allowed improving the adjustment of the results obtained by the Integrated Study, thus it is concluded that the application of new technologies is of great benefit to solve the presented problems both in this study as in the joint enterprise OleoLUZ
