    El objetivo del presente artículo es realizar un estudio de la vida de la Comunidad Religiosa de las Madres Oblatas del Corazón de Jesús y María de la ciudad de Cuenca-Ecuador a finales del siglo XIX y primera mitad del siglo XX, a través de una panorámica histórica y cronológica de las comunidades femeninas en el Ecuador y específicamente de la Congregación Oblata y de las madres que sobresalieron en el quehacer musical. De igual manera, se realiza una exposición del Archivo Musical, a través de la selección de la obra Misa del Santísimo del compositor A. Pauta, a manera de estudio de caso. Finalmente se propone una edición crítica de esta obra.

    The objective of this article is to generate an approach to the life of the religious community of the Oblate Mothers of the Heart of Jesus and Mary from the city of Cuenca-Ecuador at the end of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century, through an overview historical and chronological of the feminine communities in Ecuador and specifically of the Oblate Congregation and of the mothers who excelled in the musical chore.In the same way, a study of the musical archive is carried out, through the selection of the work Misa del Santísimo by the composer A. Pauta, as a case study. Finally, a critical edition of this work is proposed.
