Resumen de Tratamiento informativo del bádminton y el piragüismo en 'Marca' y 'El País' (2012-2016)

  El objetivo del presente estudio es analizar el reflejo en la prensa de deportes de los éxitos españoles internacionales cosechados en dos disciplinas, bádminton y piragüismo, y si estos éxitos implican un seguimiento constante en las páginas de los diarios españoles de mayor tirada (Marca y El País) en el período que comprende los Juegos Olímpicos de 2012 y de 2016. Se ha realizado un análisis cuantitativo y cualitativo de contenidos publicados sobre bádminton y piragüismo en los dos diarios de mayor tirada, Marca y El País. La muestra final son 1.007 informaciones: 559 sobre bádminton y 448 sobre piragüismo. Se ha producido un aumento de las informaciones sobre bádminton y piragüismo en la olimpiada comprendida entre 2012 y 2016, pero la abundancia de breves y la falta de desarrollo de las informaciones confirman que la repercusión mediática no se corresponde con el valor de los triunfos internacionales.

  The aim of the present research is to analize the impact of the Spanish international success in badminton and canoeing in the sporting media, and if these accomplishments lead to a permanent coverage in the pages of the two newspapers with more circulation in Spain (Marca and El País) in the period from the 2012 Olympic Games to the 2016 edition. Both qualitative and quantitative methods were used to analize all the information published in both papers during the established period. Final data shows 1,007 stories: 559 about badminton and 448 about canoeing. It has been proved that the number of reports in the period 2012-2016 has increased, but there are a large number of short and non-elaborated pieces. That confirms that the media impact does not match the real value of the international triumphs.
