Resumen de Intervención antrópica en el Valle del Júcar: cambios en la morfodinámica y modificaciones en las acumulaciones tobáceas actuales

Antonio Fernández Fernández

  • The Jucar valley, in the area located between the town of Valdeganga and the El Molinar dam, has known a vast antropic intervention from the Bronze age to our days. The antropic intervention has had an effect on the progressive deforestation of the slopes, increasing the posibilities of erosive processes and releasing detritus to the river's course. The explotation of its waters with agrarian irrigations or industrial aims (electrical production) has entailed a deep modification of its hydrographic system. The arrival of polluting agents coming mainly from the surrounding regions, has altered the chemical quality of its waters. The hydrodynamics changes and the polution of its waters have been the reason of a profund geomorphological alteration, shown in the substitution of the sedimentary processes of chemical origin (prevailing along the geological evolution of the valley) by other processes of the detritic nature.
