Resumen de Situación actual de la gestión del Patrimonio Geológico en Andalucía
Although the Geologic Patrimony has not been defined as such until recent dates, its protection has been it from the beginning of the XX century, beginning political of protection of certain spaces of geologic value. The tourist politics of the decade of the sixties increases the number of protected spaces, being arrived to a theoretical protection today at least of that Geologic Patrimony included in Protected Natural Spaces in the case of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia. They are three the legislation types that have contributed with legal protection to this Patrimony in one or another way; relative legislation to the Territorial Ordination, that derived of the Conservation of the Nature and the one derived of the Protection of the Historical- cultural Patrimony. However, the absence in the technical squares, in the competent administrations, and of human resources with formation in this respect, impedes the effective development of plans and programs for the setting in value of such a wide and diverse environmental asset as interesting for the development and territorial balance.
