Con el título de Raíces de la literatura fantástica en el Campo de Gibraltar se pretende dejar constancia de una mirada entrañable a los inicios de este género en nuestra comarca. Considerando que en los últimos tiempos hay un nutrido número de autores locales interesados por la fantasía en todas sus facetas –dibujo, literatura, cine…–, como nunca ocurriera antes, el autor centra el análisis en el relato pionero Visiones del porvenir, un cuaderno de tirada mínima fechado en 1923 y autoeditado por el artista algecireño José Román.

With the title of “Roots of fantastic literature in Campo de Gibraltar”, it’s intended to record an endearing view to the beginnings of this genre in our region. Whereas that in recent times there’s a large number of local authors interested in fantasy —in all its facets—, drawing, literature, film.., as never before, the author focuses the analysis on the groundbreaking narrative “visions of the future”, a notebook of a small edition dated in 1923 and self-published by the artist from Algeciras, José Román.
