Resumen de How disruptive innovations are performed in industrial clusters: A comparison between the Italian Montebelluna sport system and the Spanish ceramic tile industries

Francesc Xavier Molina Morales, Valentina De Marchi, Luis Martínez Cháfer, David Valiente Bordanova

  • This paper is an attempt to clarify the disruptive or radical innovative processes in industrial cluster contexts. Innovative processes in clusters or industrial districts are mostly based in incremental innovation as clusters dynamics is mostly aiming at improving the products or the efficiency of the production processes. Through the comparison of two different cases, our goal is to find some patterns which could drive the generation, development and diffusion of these valuable innovations in clusters. The results offer evidences of the importance of these radical processes not only for member firms but also for clusters as entities.
