Resumen de El Au en el campo filoniano de W-(Sn) de El Cabaco (Salamanca)

• In El Cabaco (south of Salamanca, Spain) appear several swarms of quartz veins minerallzated in W-Au-(Sn), which were worked since Roman times. Such veins fit in the Sequeros-La Alberca biotite granite and the metamorphosed Schist and Grauwacke Complex.

  Gold appears in two patterns. In a visible way, included in arsenopyrite and pyrite, or outside of them, joined to the crystal edges of these and others sulphides. It also appears filling micro fractures in quartz and tourmaline.

  In invisible way, gold occurs inside arsenopyrite and pyrite, like solid solution or submicroscopic inclusions. Frecuently appears associated to bismuth and bismuthinite.

  El Cabaco mineralization can be attributed to the quartz-wolframite veins type ofGumiel (1984) and in the gold deposits with rare metals (W-Sn) of Nekrasov (1996).
