Present paper deals with the sedimentary variability measured at La Barca Beach (Jandia, Fuerteventura). Data includes three beach profiles surveyed every three months during two years, sediment samples collected for grain size analysis and the accurate topographic levelling of the area. Results from the analysis of such a data set are that the northern sector, which is an small pocket beach separated from La Barca Beach by around 150 m of rocky substrate, behaves as a nearly isolated sector, with a great seasonal variability both in grain size and volume changes. On the other hand, the central and southern profiles are quite well correlated between them, showing also some seasonal changes and an anomalous erosion which is explained from tide and meteorological observations, as well as from the evidence that a new resort acts as a barrier avoiding aeolian fluxes of sediments to reach the beach.
