Nos interesa plantear algunos aspectos fundamentales sobre el asunto del pacto en las Sagradas Escrituras, una figura muy singular y especialmente cara a la tradición hebrea. De modo particular intentaremos establecer una relación comparativa con lo que el pacto o contrato social ha significado para la historia del pensamiento occidental, específicamente porque se trata de la teoría política predominante, desde las postrimerías de la Edad Media hasta hoy, mecanismo mediante el cual la filosofía política y la ética jurídica han intentado explicar el origen de la sociedad, del Estado y los fundamentos de la justicia, del derecho y las leyes.

We are interested in raising some fundamental aspects about the covenant in the Holy Scriptures, a singular figure of the Hebrew tradition. In particular way we will try to establish a comparison what the social contract has meant for the history of Western thought, specifically because it is the predominant political theory, from the end of the Middle Ages until today, a mechanism by which the Political philosophy and legal ethics have tried to explain the origin of society, the State and the foundations of justice, right and laws
