  • Making Materials Matter (MMM) is a collaborative project vwith the materials science departments of the Universities of Oxford, Cambridge, Sheffield and Imperial College London, supported by the Ironmongers' Company. It is informed by current research and aims to raise students aspirations and increase awareness of materials science. Students, with the support of their teachers, carry out an extended materials science research project with continued support and school visits from university ambassadors. The project concludes with the students presenting their research at a students' conference and with a separate science teachers' conference.
