  • Resumen
    • Sign language is an excellent starting point for the study and research on sign recognition. The work presented in this article is focussed on the recognition of the Fingerspelling Alphabet through Data Gloves, alphabet used by deaf people for spelling. Different Machine Learning algorithms and paradigms have been analyzed during the various experiments carried out, focusing on issues related to real system applications such real time data processing and Data Glove accuracy and calibration problems. Those experiments pointed the distance based algorithms as the best ones for real applications.
