  Desvelar las claves de interpretación de los fenómenos sociales de ámbito general, relacionándolos con el quehacer cultural, histórico y social a través de las experiencias personales de individuos concretos, resulta vital en los esfuerzos por recabar los aportes fundamentales de estos al desarrollo, desde la influencia que ejercen sobre las colectividades humanas. La Metodología sobre las historias de vida constituye un recurso de la investigación cualitativa, para destacar el accionar de figuras desde la impronta de su hacer y pensar. En el contexto tunero, pese al incremento de tales intentos, no abundan aquellos que consideren las contribuciones al desarrollo cultural desde la actividad educacional para los estudios socioculturales, lo que aporta valor a la presente investigación. Cumplir con esta intención es direccionada por la autora desde el hacer cultural de una educadora: María Teresa Ortiz Martínez y sus aportes al desarrollo cultural tunero a partir de incursionar en todos los niveles de formación generacional con resultados tangibles que permiten considerarla como una promotora cultural.

  To reveal the keys of interpretation of the social phenomena of general scope, relating them to the cultural, historical and social task through the personal experiences of specific individuals, is vital in the efforts to collect the fundamental contributions of these to the development, from the influence that exert on human collectivities. The Methodology on life stories is a resource of qualitative research, to highlight the actions of figures from the point of view of their doing and thinking. In the context of Las Tunas, despite the increase in such attempts, there are not many who consider the contributions to cultural development from educational activity to socio-cultural studies, which adds value to the present investigation. To fulfill this intention is directed by the author from the cultural making of an educator: Maria Teresa Ortiz Martinez and her contributions to the cultural development of Las Tunas from entering all levels of generational formation with tangible results that allow her to consider her as a cultural promoter.
