Resumen de Bandejas de ofrendas egipcias

  En el presente trabajo se presentarán y se revisarán las conocidas bandejas de ofrendas cerámicas. Estos artefactos cerámicos del antiguo Egipto han sido hallados principalmente en contextos funerarios, desde Primer Periodo Intermedio hasta Segundo Periodo Intermedio, aunque también están atestados en contextos domésticos en diferentes yacimientos de Egipto. Según las investigaciones de Petrie en 1907, su origen se encuentra en las mesas de ofrendas de piedra, pero su elaboración en arcilla respondería a una alternativa más económica. Estas proporcionarían al difunto ofrendas alimentarias.

  Existe una variedad tipológica de las bandejas de ofrendas. Por un lado, algunas de estas presentan estructuras arquitectónicas complejas, que son denominadas como “Soul houses”. Por otro lado existen modelos más sencillos, que presentan solamente ofrendas de alimentos y/o canales para verter líquidos.

  In this work it will be presented and reviewed the known pottery offering trays. These pottery artefacts are found mainly in funeral contexts from First Intermediate Period to Second Intermediate Period, although they have also found in domestic contexts in different archaeological sites from Egypt. According to Pretrie´s research in 1907, its origin may be traced in stone offering tables, but its manufacture with clay may respond to a cheaper alternative. These objects would provide nutritional offerings to the deceased.
