Este artículo describe, en primer lugar, el origen del déficit de tarifa en el sector eléctrico y gasista en España y el nivel de endeudamiento existente en ambos sectores. A continuación recoge las medidas regulatorias que ha sido necesario tomar en ambos sectores para equilibrar los ingresos y costes regulados. Finalmente analiza el resultado obtenido por las medidas tomadas y las perspectivas a medio plazo de las cuentas del sector eléctrico y gasista español.

This article starts describing the origin of the tariff deficit in both the electricity and gas sectors in Spain and their prevailing level of indebtedness existing in these industries. Secondly, it outlines the regulatory measures that have been necessary to balance the regulated revenues and costs. Finally, it analyzes the outcomes obtained by these measures and the medium-term outlook of the accounts of the Spanish electricity and gas sectors.
