Vigo, España
Hydrodynamics of Ría de Vigo has been widely studied due to the coastal upwelling, which makes of this environment a very productive one. However, sediment transport and dynamics are still unclear. Hence, the main objective of this work is the understanding of relationships between sediment characteristics and relevant forcings. For that purpose, instrumentation was deployed in two sites, middle and outer Ria, for a period of 6 months. Salinity, temperature, pressure, currents and turbidity were measured. Monthly samples were collectedwith sediment traps. Both stations present similarities in sediment characteristics as well as oceanographic parameters
