    This contribution focuses on the circumstances and consequences of the rediscovery of the Song of the Albigensian Crusade from Claude Fauriel to Eugène Martin-Chabot, via François Raynouard, Jean Bernard Mary-Lafon, Georges Guibal and Paul Meyer among others. Particular emphasis is placed on the context in which the text and its surviving manuscripts were rediscovered, as well as the first references, editions, translations, and commentaries.
