Resumen de Borges y las loterías de la postmodernidad

Este ensayo argumenta que Borges no sólo previó la cultura de la postmodernidad, sino que además hizo un examen narrativo y hasta una dura crítica de ella. Esta actitud sitúa a Borges fuera del sistema postmoderno y, por consiguiente, no puede ser considerado ni precursor ni miembro de la postmodernidad. Para probar este razonamiento el artículo acude al método abductivo y coteja el relato "La lotería de Babilonia" con aquellas categorías comúnmente asignadas a la postmodernidad.

This essay argues that Borges not only foresaw the postmodern culture, but also produced a narrative examination and even a harsh critique of it. This attitude situates Borges outside the postmodern system. Because of that, he should not be considered neither a precursor nor a member of postmodernism. To prove this reasoning the article makes usage of the abducting method and compares the short story "The ottery of Babylon" with those categories commonly assigned to postmodernism.
