  El estudio explora las ideas en materia religiosa del liberalismo peruano, durante los años de la independencia y de los inicios republicanos. Se centra particularmente en entender, a partir de los planteamientos de algunos pensadores, cómo se concibe a la religión católica dentro del nuevo orden republicano, el rol de la Iglesia y la relación de ella con el Estado. Se plantea que frente a estos asuntos, el liberalismo presentó diferentes y marcadas posturas.

  This study explores the ideas on religious matter of peruvian liberalism during the independence years and the beginning of the republic. It's particularly concerned on understanding, from the approach of other thinkers,how wascatholic religionconceived inside of the new republican order, the role of the Church and itsrelationship with the State. It state that, in front of these issues, liberalism presented marked differences in postures.
