• Middle Autunian pyroclastic surges are studied in the south part of the Iberian Hercynian Massif.

  These pyroclastic surges are associated with other volcanic deposits and also with sedimentary and reworked volcanoclastic rocks. A ll these sediments conform the Volcaniclastic Crey Sequence of the Viar basin. The present paper highlights the sedimentologycal and petrographical features of the volcanic surges
