  Concern about the future of drinking water is a fact known worldwide, so this article will address the human rights developments that give rise to the guarantee of drinking water, as an essential element to the dignity and develop ment of the human being in its aspects legal and social aspects involved in order to identify the positioning and information of the current legal order regarding this basic right. Much has been said about the need to protect drinking water as a form of hu man rights, and this is due to the evidence that there will be a restriction on drinking water due to scarcity and adequate access. The proposal developed in this research is precisely to ask if it is necessary to protect the right to drinking water as hum an rights? It turns out that based on the research developed the drinking water as being very essential for the maintenance of human life should be considered as human rights to be ascertained to all human beings.

  A preocupação com o futuro sobre a água potável é fato conhecido mundialmente, assim, neste artigo serão abordados os desdobramentos dos direitos h umanos que dão ensejo a garantia da água potável, como um elemento essencial à dignidade e ao desenvolvimento do ser humano , em seus aspectos jurídico e sociais envolvidos, a fim de identificar o posicionamento e as informações do atual ordenamen to referente a esse direito básico. Muito se tem discutido sobre a necessidade de proteção da água potável como forma de direitos humanos, e isso se dá justamente em razão da evidência de que ocorrerá a restrição a esse bem devido à escassez e acesso adequado. A proposta desenvolvida nesta pesquisa é justamente indagar se é necessário proteger o direito à água potável como direitos humanos? Verifica se que com base nas pesquisas desenvolvidas a água potável por ser bem essencial para a manutenção da vi da humana deve ser considerada como direitos humanos a ser assegurado a todos os seres humanos.
