Doctrina Pueril is one of Llull's first works. In this teaching book directed at to a young reader, five chapters are dedicated to a brief history of religion: natural religion, Judaism or Old Law, Christianity, Islam, gentility. Starting on an objective note, this history tends to become an apology of the Roman Church and orients itself towards the desire for conversion which is a constant in Llull.
