    En el trabajo se analiza, desde las perspectivas etimológica, teórica y normativa el concepto de profesión, para fundamentar que la tecnología educativa tiene los elementos para constituirse como una profesión en el estado de San Luis Potosí. También, se propone la formación de un colegio de profesionistas del campo, considerando la normativa en el estado, con el propósito de que contribuya a legitimar y delinear la tendencias de la profesión. El documento cierra subrayando la importancia del desafío que tienen las agrupaciones, por asumirse como interlocutores autónomos con el Estado.

    This paper analyzes the concept of profession from the etymological, theoretical, and normative perspectives to fundament that educational technology has the elements to become a profession in the State of San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Considering the regulations in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, the formation of a collegiate association is also proposed, with the purpose of contributing to legitimize and outline the trends of this profession. The paper ends underlining the importance of the challenge that these associations face in order to play the role as independent interlocutors with the State.
