  En los estudios sobre la actividad de las organizaciones insurgentes de los años ’70 se suele sostener que gran parte o la totalidad de sus problemas, que las llevaron al fracaso, se debió a su “militarismo”, pero sin dar precisiones sobre esta categoría. En este artículo revisamos, en primer lugar, las principales posiciones de quienes sostienen, con matices, esta concepción. En segundo lugar, nos dedicamos a exponer los principales elementos teóricos para evaluar el “militarismo”, particularmente en la articulación entre guerra y política. Esta vinculación la rastreamos en los pensadores clásicos más conspicuos en la tradición teórica a la que adscribimos: Clausewitz, Marx, Engels y Lenin. En esta línea de lectura se evidencia que no sólo no hay contraposición entre política y guerra (como está implícito en los planteos corrientes que imputan “militarismo” a la insurgencia de los setenta) sino que la segunda es una forma desarrollada y fundante de la primera

  Most of the studies about the activity of the insurgents organizations in the ‘ 70s argue that the great part, or the totality, of the problems which took them to the failure was their “militarism”, but without giving precisions on this category. In this article we check, first, the principal positions of those who support, with shades, this conception. Secondly, we expose the principal theoretical elements to evaluate the “militarism”, particularly in the joint between war and politics. We trace this entail in the most eminent classic thinkers in the theoretical tradition to which we assign: Clausewitz, Marx, Engels and Lenin. In this line, there is demonstrated that not only there is no contraposition between politics and war (as it is implicit in the current plants that impute “militarism” to the insurgence of the seventies) but the second one is a developed and found form of the first one.
