Resumen de Influencia de Santa Teresa en el concepto de feminidad de Edith Stein y análisis actual

  En esta comunicación se analiza el concepto de naturaleza femenina propuesto por Edith Stein a la luz de la vida de santa Teresa, a través de las características de maternidad y ‘ser compañera’. Además, se ve la contraposición este concepto de naturaleza femenina con el feminismo radical representado por Simone de Beauvoir, y cómo este feminismo desvirtúa el valor de la mujer alterando sus características. Aun así, es posible entender la feminidad a la luz de la vida y las enseñanzas de la Santa abulense.

  In this paper is analyzed the concept of feminine nature proposed by Edith Stein in the light of the life of saint Teresa, through the characteristics of maternity and ‘be companion’. Moreover, it is shown the contrast between this concept of feminine nature and the radical feminism represented by Simone de Beauvoir, and how this feminism distorts the value of women changing their characteristics. Even so, it is possible understand the feminity in the light of the life and teachings of saint Teresa of Avila.
