  • Resumen
    • The Tortonian Dudar Formation of the Granada Basin in SE Spain records the first erosional unroofing of significant volumes ofmaterials from the deepest structural units of the Internal Zones of the Betic Cordillera.

This provides a unique opportunity to study the proximal relationship between source and sink in an emerging orogen. Apatite Fission Track and apatite (U/Th)-He thermochronometers can document the thermal history of both the hinterland and the sedimentary system. A nalysis of clast provenance reveals an evolving pattern of emergence in the source area.
