Resumen de Consideracions sobre l'acròstic "Audiamus fratres magnalia Dei"

Alexandre Olivar

  • The acrostic Audiamus fratres magnalia dei of a fourth century papyrus which is at present in Barcelona and which was discovered by R. Roca-Puig and published in 1965, is a rernarkable article because of its rarity and age. Cornparing it to a parallel acrostic by Sedulio, the author rnakes some observations about the nature of the article whose story is not about the Mother of God but is a compendiurn of the story of the Salvation and is presented in the form, of a response hymn. It comes from Egypt and is probably of gnostic origin.
