Respecto a paridad de género, la Constitución y la legislación electoral señalan que las postulaciones de candidatos de partidos políticos deben estar integradas la mitad por hombres y la otra mitad por mujeres; no obstante, no existen disposiciones en cuanto al financiamiento para las campañas electorales. El objetivo del artículo es observar y comprobar cómo fue la entrega de dicho financiamiento a los candidatos y candidatas a integrar el Congreso local del Estado de México en 2018, y si este se realizó con perspectiva de género. Los principales hallazgos son los siguientes: los candidatos recibieron más financiamiento que las candidatas, a pesar de ser menos (133 hombres y 141 mujeres); además, a mayor número de candidatas compitiendo en un mismo distrito, mayor es su financiamiento; lo mismo sucede para los candidatos

Gender parity in the Constitution and electoral legislation indicates that political parties must nominate half of their candidates of one gender and the other half of another gender; however, there are no provisions regarding financing for election campaigns. The objective of the article is to observe and verify how it is the delivery of financing for electoral campaigns of candidates to integrate the local congress in the State of Mexico in 2018, if this was done with a gender perspective. The main findings are that the candidates received more funding than the candidates although they were less: 133 men and 141 women. In addition, while the number of candidates competing in the same district is greater, they have more financing; the same happens for the candidates
