     La Ley de Navegación Marítima de 2014, que supuso una ambiciosa reforma de una parte importante del Derecho Marítimo español, anunciaba en sus disposiciones finales la futura redacción de un Código de Navegación Ma­rítima que terminaría de aclarar las principales normas en este ámbito. Vencido el plazo anunciado, el Código no ha visto la luz. Este artículo aborda la necesidad de su aproba­ción, con especial incidencia en los problemas que afectan al derecho de paso inocente por el mar territorial.

     The Law of Maritime Navigation of 2014, which meant an ambitious reform of the Spanish Maritime Law, announced in its final provisions the future drafting of a Code of Maritime Navigation that would definitely clarify the main rules governing this subject. The Code has not been adopted yet. This article addresses the need for its approval, with special emphasis on the problems affecting the right of innocent passage through the territorial sea.
