En este artículo mostraremos como el cristianismo triunfó, por ser una fuerza moral que transformó la sociedad con un ideal ético nuevo que actuaba desde el centro mismo de la persona, y subrayaba la obligación moral de amar al prójimo y llevar una vida recta; y como de la Reforma surgieron tanto la Ilustración escocesa –democracia liberal- como la francesa –democracia popular-, amén de la conversión de la Iglesia de su paradigma reformista original al de la reacción contra los horrores de la Revolución francesa.

In this article we will show as the christianity it triumphed, for being a moral force that transformed the society with the ideal new ethical one that was acting from the center itself of the person, and it was underlining the moral obligation to love the neighbor and to take a straight life; and as from the Reform there arose both the Scotch Illustration - liberal democracy - and the French - popular democracy-, amen of the conversion of the Church of his paradigm original reformist to that of the reaction against the horrors of the French Revolution.
