    Pharmacists can contribute to the prevention of influenza by promoting influenza immunisation. They must remind patients of the highly contagious nature of this disease, as well as the importance of the vaccine for the elderly or for people weakened by chronic conditions. Preventive treatment is a priority, particularly given the socio-economic consequences of an epidemic.

    Le pharmacien peut contribuer à la prévention de la grippe en participant à la vaccination antigrippale. Il doit rappeler l’extrême contagiosité de cette maladie, ainsi que l’importance de la vaccination chez les personnes âgées ou fragilisées par des affections chroniques. La prophylaxie reste un objectif prioritaire compte tenu, notamment, des conséquences socio-économiques d’une épidémie.
