Desde el famoso debate de los ochenta entre Godelier y la antropóloga feminista Mathieu (1985) y su revelador “ceder no es consentir”, hasta el concepto acuñado por Ana de Miguel (2017) “patriarcado del consentimiento” de la actual década, la teoría feminista intenta dilucidar en qué medida las mujeres en occidente actúan como sujetos con consentimiento o están sujetas a la heterodesignación patriarcal. En esta propuesta intento aportar cierta luz a esta tesitura, partiendo del estudio de la maternidad –también muy controvertido en el feminismo–, a través de la investigación etnográfica que he realizado en el marco actual de las TRA

From the famous debate in the 1980s between Godelier and feminist anthropologist Mathieu (1985) and its revealing statement that “to give in is not to consent” to the concept coined by Ana de Miguel (2017) “patriarchy of consent” in the present decade, feminist theory has attempted to clarify the extent to which women in western society act as subjects with consent or are subjected to patriarcal heterodesignation. In this paper, I will attempt to shed some light on this issue, based on the study of motherhood –also very controversial in feminism– through ethnographic research that I have carried out in today's framework of Assisted Reproduction Techniques
