  • Resumen
    • The objective of this work consists of analyzing whether the methodology of teaching innovation of mind maps can facilitate this type of process in the field of higher education, that is, at the university level. In order to do so, the experiences related to this methodology will be presented in several subjects taught at the University of Almeria: Economy of the European Union; Co-development and local development policies; Complement for Disciplinary training in Economics, Business and Tourism. By assessing students’ knowledge about the issues worked in the mind maps via tests, the results show that grades have increased since the adoption of concept maps in subjects, as well as their long-term retention skill, which has been reflected in the increase in the number of students who choose to carry out research work related to the subject seen and reflected in concept maps. Significant learning marks the new era of education, and mind maps are one of the different tools available to us to improve students’ ability to learn.
