    • The paper presents details related on the innovative potential of mechatronics to enhance the pillars of smart education and for organizational learning. The word mechatronics patented by Yaskawa Electric Cp. in Japan, at the beginning of the eight decade of the last century was used to describe the integration of three main fields of engineering: mechanical engineering-electrical-electronics engineering and automation- informatics engineering. It is the technology of the 21st century. Also, it is the Science of intelligent machines and Environment for smart education and organizational learning. Mechatronics, Cyber Physical Systems (CPS) and the Internet of Things (IoT) are the fundamentals of the 4.0.industry. Mechatronic platforms as complex technical systems, integrating components of the three main fields of engineering above mentioned are the basic infrastructure of the environments for smart education and organizational learning. Details related on the Romanian National Mechatronic Platform are outlined too.
