Resumen de Determinantes de la elección turística: un estudio de caso para Risaralda

El objetivo de este trabajo es hallar los determinantes de la elección turística en Risaralda, partiendo del análisis de la Teoría de Elección Discreta aplicada al turismo. Para tal fin, se seleccionaron como destinos el Zoológico Matecaña, Parque Recreacional Comfamiliar Galicia, Termales de San Vicente y Termales de Santa Rosa. Los resultados obtenidos a partir de la estimación de un modelo logit multinomial, indican que factores como la repetición del destino, la edad, la situación laboral, el estado civil, viajar en compañía de familiares o amigos, el tamaño del grupo con que se viaja, los ingresos, la motivación por el disfrute del paisaje y las diversiones, influyen en la elección de estos destinos.

The objective of this work is to find tourist choice determinants in Risaralda, starting from the analysis of the Discrete Choice Theory applied to tourism. For this purpose, the Matecaña Zoo, the Comfamiliar Galicia Recreation Park, and the San Vicente and Santa Rosa Hot Springs were selected. The results obtained from estimating a multinomial logit model show that as destination repetition, age, employment status, marital status, travel with family or friends, size of the group you travel, income, and the motivation to enjoy the scenery and entertainment offered, influence in the choice of these destinations.
