Estrategias de gestión en pequeños hospitales frente a las nuevas tendencias de gestión en salud

    El presente artículo resulta de un estudio comparativo de estrategias de gestión de hospitales de la Región Fronteriza Noroeste de Río Grande do Sul frente a las nuevas tendencias de gestión en salud. Existe en la región una red de pequeños hospitales, en cuanto organizaciones de sociedad civil, de origen y naturaleza comunitario. Las nuevas políticas de gestión en salud, el agotamiento de los modelos tradicionales de gestión en salud y las nuevas tendencias para el área, apuntan dificultades para hacer frente a la cualidad del servicio, la sustentabilidad económica, obsolescencia tecnológica y los niveles de resolución requeridos. El estudio puede ser definido como exploratorio y los datos fueron obtenidos a través de entrevistas en profundidad e investigación documental y bibliográfica. Las políticas publicas están generando nuevos desafíos para la sustentabilidad y la supervivencia para los hospitales de pequeño porte, localizados en regiones geográficamente periféricas. Las estrategias podrán contribuir con las organizaciones hospitalarias, en cuanto a las referencias para priorizar las políticas publicas de financiamiento a la salud, la mejora de las condiciones de salud y de vida de las poblaciones involucradas.

    The present article is the result of a comparative study of the management strategies of hospitals in the North-western Frontier Region of Rio Grande do Sul, facing the new tendencies in health management. There is in the region a network of small hospitals, being civil society organizations, with a community nature and origin. The new policies of health management, the depletion of traditional models of health management and the new tendencies for the area, indicate difficulties facing the service quality, economic sustainability, technological obsolescence and the required resolution levels. The study can be defined as exploratory and the information was obtained through profound interviews and documental and bibliographical research. The public policies are producing new challenges for the sustainability and survival of small hospitals, located in geographically peripheral regions. The strategies could contribute to the hospital organizations, as to the references to give priority to the public policies of health financing, the improvement of health conditions and the lives of the involved population.
