    Las situaciones de violencia social que se viven a nivel cotidiano en la sociedad repercuten en el contexto cotidiano escolar a través de distintas manifestaciones de hechos de violencia. Este artículo presenta un estudio exploratorio de base cualitativa realizado en dos escuelas primarias pertenecientes al ámbito del Gobierno de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires durante 2007. Este trabajo tuvo como objetivos generales indagar acerca de las características institucionales prevalecientes en escuelas primarias pertenecientes al Gobierno de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires en la actualidad, a partir de los lineamientos básicos contemplados en el Proyecto Educativo Institucional (PEI); e investigar acerca de las concepciones sobre violencia escolar que tienen los docentes pertenecientes a escuelas de nivel primario en el ámbito del Gobierno de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. Se buscó también explorar acerca de las concepciones que tienen los docentes sobre el modo de prevenir situaciones de violencia escolar y las estrategias que desarrollan para la convivencia escolar.

    Everyday social violence affects school daily activities through various manifestations of acts of violence. This paper presents an exploratory study based in qualitative methodology applied in two elementary schools in the area of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires during 2007. Their main objectives were to investigate about the institutional features prevalent in primary schools belonging to the Government of the City of Buenos Aires at present, starting with the basic guidelines set out in the Institutional Education Project (PEI); and investigate on the conceptions about school violence that teachers have from primary schools in the area of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires. It also wants to explore the teaching conceptions how to prevent school violence and situations that develop strategies for life together at school.
